8810w trouble with keymoves and extender

Ok, I admit it, I'm not exactly a beginner. I've been using JP1 remotes for a while now and have a 2104 fully functional with it's associated extender. Unfortunately once I set a JP1 remote up it lasts me for months and by the time I'm ready to play with JP1 again I've forgotten most of what I learned, so here I am in the Beginner group...

While in Walmart the other day I saw the oft mentioned 8810w and couldn't resist. I promptly brought it home and loaded extender 3.1 and haven't had any luck with key moves. I have a comcast box with the A,B, C keys and I wanted to assign those to the Rew, Play, Fwd keys on the 8810w with CBL selected. I popped them into RM and then IR, downloaded them to the remote and no luck. After some experimentation I've found that the buttons are sending the Rew, Play, Fwd of my VCR and so the keymoves aren't functioning correctly. I'm stumped. If I do the same exact thing with the unextended remote it works flawlessly. But with either extender 2.4 or 3.1 the keymoves seem to simply use the VCR definition of the keys even though I'm in the CBL selection and have keymoves defined for those buttons.

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Gary

I guess you forgot how device selection works in these extenders.

The KeyMoves are fine. The problem is that the T_CBL command wasn't included in whatever macro you used to get to "CBL selection".

Oh CRAP! I can't believe I missed that. I just assumed the default macros included all of them by default. Needless to say that worked.

Many Thanks!
