I was about to post something here asking a question because I couldn't get this doggone thing to download, when I decided to try my FTDI cable first... since my pins are loose, I was forced to re-research the pin assignments, and in so doing realized that that the pins are upside down in the compartment (relative to my 15-1994, etc.), so the cable couldn't read from the remote!!!
Go figure. Posted here should anyone be searching this and were dumbfounded as well.
