Hi there,

I am building a IR Repeater in arduino using the shirrif library. I need to "understand" this particular protocol mentioned above to repeat the signal.

To do that I need to know the following:

header , header space, one, one space, ptrail, gap

similar to the protocols in LIRC files

Sorry I am a complete novice to IR signals, would you be able to give me that info from the details in the original post?

Hi there,

I figured some stuff out!!!! I opened the rmdu with remote master and editted the protocol to find the following information:

HEADER = 9000
HEADER SPACE = 4500

ONE = 560
ONE SPACE = 1680

GAP = 108000

I have no idea where to find the repeat space in the protocol editor.

If I look at this info, it seems very similar to NEC, I am just not sure why the code would not pick it up as a NEC protocol.

All numeric buttons use NEC2 248
Menu/CH+/- use NEC2 248.39
Arrows and OK/Select use NEC2-f16 248.199

Nec2 is a 32 bit signal.
IRP notation: {38.4k,564}<1,-1|1,-3>(16,-8,D:8,S:8,F:8,~F:8,1,-78)+

When it says NEC2, it means the whole frame repeats. Nec1 sends a Ditto instead of the whole frame for repeats. A nec2 f:16 says that the last 8 bits of the the signal are not going going to follow the Nec rule of being the complement of the function, but rather another specific value.

Nec2 is D:8, S:8, F:8, ~F:8
Nec2-f16 D:8, S:8, F:8, somethingelse:8
