If you start from an existing file the 8820N requires activation. Try
activating the 8820 by pressing TV then power.

Thanks Jim. I have plenty up North. I just forgot to bring my bench remotes when i came to fl last fall.
Carl, tv power activates the extender. It needs to be reactivated every time you disconnect from the computer or replace the batteries. |

Yes, that was it! I had to activate it with TV power just like my old 8910. I should have guessed. Everything is working fine now. I wish the extender would survive battery removal just like the atlas but anyway it's great. We should had a note in the readme file about it.

Whoops! That extender is ancient, and you are the first to mention that it doesn't include activation instructions. _________________ Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.
