JP1 Remotes

I recently bought this cable:

I'm trying to get it to work on a 64-bit Windows 8 box. Are there any USB drivers for this type cable that will work with Windows 8? Or do I need a cable with an FTDI Chip?

Is this the PL2303 cable, says their drivers work with windows 8?
Also there is a later version of the driver on prolifics website.
I remember it being real fiddly to get a pl2303 cable to work with windows 8 a while back.

If not here are the drivers I used - you will probably have to remove the device in device manager and be sure to check the uninstall driver box.
