I just got a iogear video switcher. I am trying to make an upgrage. when I learn the commands, I'm getting NEC1 but the device is 1.246. What is that?
I can't put that in to make an upgrade. What to do?? Thanks for the help!

I checked the file section and the iogear switcher is not the correct one.

NEC1 1.246 means the device number is 1 and the subdevice is 246. Enter 246 in the subdevice field of the NEC1 protocol.

Or, you can automagically convert the learns into an upgrade. To do that, first enable the option with Options\Advance\Learn to Upgrade Conversion. On the Learned Signals tab, select (highlight) the learns you want to convert to an upgrade. This should enable the "Convert To Device Upgrade" button. Click the button, then go to the Device Upgrade Editor. You should see the new upgrade.

I believe this functionality works well for relatively simple signals like NEC.

Thanks. That makes sense. I haven't used jpi in about a year because every thing was working fine. I am using RM to do my upgrades. I haven't seen the convert to device button. Thanks again!
