Brand new URC 6440 with several dead keys

I just received a brand new URC6440. To my amazements, there are (at least) 4 keys "dead", iwthout any function: 3, 8, 9, 0. No, they are not just not sending something, tehy do not turn on backlight or anything.

The obvious solution is to return it to the seller (Amazon Germany).

Has someone seen something like this before?
