Hi everyone,
I have been given the above box by a company called CTH that has won the rights to broadcast the English Premier League in Thailand.
I am unable to operate my Slingbox there as none of the remotes currently on JP1's list work.
I am currently in the UK, everything else is in Thailand, and I would really like to watch the football here via my slingbox when the new season starts on the 16th August 2014.
I hope someone can help !
Many thanks, JC.

Hi Alan,
Thank you for your comment. The guys in Holland at Slingmedia support have tried everything including the N8760C nothing worked. They recommended I post my query on this site.
I notice you seem to be the main man on this subject, do you have any further suggestions ?
Premier League kicks off 16th August ! Any help would be much appreciated.

Just checked and I can find no record of this box although as suspected, the Coship N8760C is a suggested alternative. When you say the Support staff tried it, was that the built in one or the Custom one in the File Section. ? If it was the Custom version then all my suggestions are in the Readme file. Did you read that ?

Hi Alan,
Thanks for your last reply but I couldn't open the Readme file and I doubt whether I would know what I'm looking at anyway ! All this recent technology leaves us oldies a bit bewildered. Just using the stuff is a challenge.
Certain functions on the remote do not work, I presume this is because the file used is for the N8760C box not the one I have which is the N8770C.
I can change channels using the number buttons otherwise it jumps channels. I cannot turn off the box or get the "guide", "menu" or "exit" buttons to work although the "info" button does work.
I can carry on like this but it would be great to have everything working as with previous boxes. Can this be done and if so how ?
Many thanks, JC

Sorry, not accepting that excuse

I am just getting ready to pick up my old-age pension and am still hanging in there with new technology (just).

It can but unfortunately it does assume you can quickly install Custom Remotes. Your reply does not inspire confidence
But happy to help if you want to give it a try.

It might sound like an excuse but sadly it's close to the truth !
However I am still capable of following instructions if they are given to me in layman's English............hopefully.
Can we give it a try ? Many thanks, JC

OK, first thing to do is get you used to installing Custom Remotes. I assume you have the V2010_PL.BIN and V2010_RV.BIN files from the Download section at
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=11202
Now I have totally rewritten the installation procedure and it is at
http://placeshiftingenthusiasts.com/how ... -slingbox/
So work your way through that. If you have problems then come back with copious details, remember I am not psychic and there is no such thing as 'too much information' in these circumstances.
Over to you.
