Need Slingbox Solo IR bin file, to Vodafone Portugal

Hi,

I'm in Portugal. I've Slingbox Solo working until now with a Set Top Box from Clix, a TV+Internet+VOIP ISP.

Now I've changed to Vodafone Portugal and whatever remote I try from the Slingbox Setup, I can't find one that works. They are using Motorola VIP1002, VIP2262 and Cisco ISB2201 all with the same remote.

Anyone here that can give some clues about this?

Regards,

PF

These all see to use the same codes as the Motorola 1200 and that Custom Remote is in the File Section

I suspect you are doing something wrong, but without knowing the error message I am not sure.

Hi,

I was able to download the file using Mac SlingPlayer 1.0.10. But, it doesn't work.

You can find here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gzxr38segqewbau/7PVzdyrJZ0 the actual configuration of my Slingbox SOLO.

Sorry, but you just aren't making any sense to me. Try these instructions

OK. Now I was able to upload the C2010_RV.bin file through the plugin on the browser. I think that the plugin have some difficulty to understand the right path on a Mac. I've done it on Windows.

But sadly in the end, the remote doesn't work:(

To quote from the instructions:

"...If you have problems please do NOT just report back it 'doesn't work', that is totally useless ........."

OK,

The file is correctly loaded. The IR wasn't able to command the Set Top Box. The led on the Set Top Box that normally blinks when the remote is activated, doesn't blink when the Slingbox try to command it.

What kind of information should I get more? Do you know a way to get any logs from any source that could be analyzed?

I'm a system engineer and not properly a dummy guy. If I ask for help that's because I've already gone all the way of my possibilities and my knowledge.

I just wanted the answers to those questions I posed in the Readme file. If you are happy they are irrelevant to your situation, then there is nothing else I can suggest.

Afraid not. I have installed that device on my Harmony Universal Remote and those are the codes being transmitted. So I cannot explain why it isn't working for you.

How was I supposed to know that ? Unless told otherwise I have to assume people on here are non-technical.

I wish you luck but I think you will find I am the only person in the world who does this sort of thing.

I don't know much about Slingboxes, but so far it doesn't appear that you have directly checked to see if the Slingbox is actually emitting IR. Use a digital camera (e.g. phone) to see.

Next, there is a chance that the remote is made by UEI. If so you may be able to do setup code blink back for the set top box, using the 990 Command. That would let us see if it is actually using the expected Nokia32 IR protocol.

That was one of the 8 questions I specifically asked him to report back about in an earlier post. Apparently he didn't want to :D
