The YSP-1100 codes are published by Yamaha, and are available in PDF format here. However, the YSP-1100, like other Yamaha sound projectors, uses NEC1 IR protocol, device 120. The Comcast remote does not have a setup code with device 120 and so it isn't possible to manually assign new functions to control the YSP.

To use your 1067BX3, you should buy an interface cable so that you can load an upgrade to the remote from your computer. Here's one such cable that folks here have had success with.

I've got the files ready to go, and I've received the recommended cable, but am having am having a problem hooking it up to the computer. The pin out that I have is not getting results and I can't find a pin diagram for the connector on the remote. This is what I'm working with:

1 - Black:GND
2 - Blue:CTS
3 - Red:5V
4 - Green:TXD
5 - White:RXD
6 - Yellow:RTS

Is this correct? With pin 1 being the upper right pin?

With the JP1 connector above the batteries, pin 1 is upper right. It is important to not connect anything to Pin 5-- this pin is used to put the Samsung processor into Tool Mode, and there is some small risk that would brick the remote. In any case, we've found that even a short wire connected to Pin 5 may cause errors in reading and writing to the remote.

Attach the following wires:
Pin 1 No connection
Pin 2 RTS
Pin 3 GND
Pin 4 TXD
Pin 5 No Connection
Pin 6 RXD

I think the numbers you have are the wire numbers from the FTDI chip. We want to match up the functional descriptions to the JP1 pin numbers, regardless of the wire color or wire number.
