Adding Functions from a Learned Key to an Upgrade Via RM?

Post by PaulPr105 »

Help,

I'm looking to take a few learned functions and add them to the device as an upgrade to that device. I am new put have read everything I can find, still no luck. I have a RS 15-2116 - JP1 up and running, with Remote Master.

Can someone please walk me through it - or get me started.

Thanks
Paul

For general advice read previous threads or read FAQs or other documentation (beginners guide etc.).

For specific advice, give specific information:

What brand, device type and model are you trying to control?

Have you found a setup code that partially controls the device? Which setup code?

Click on a learned signal in IR's Learned signals tab. What does the decode look like (Protocol name, device number, subdevice number, OBC)? (Don't post any of the timing data from the "sent once" "sent repeated" etc. sections).

I'm trying to Control a H/K AVR630 (code: 1110) and a Mitsubishi WS-55511 (Code: 1150)

I used the OEM Mitsubishi Remote and the OEM H/K remote to learn each input selection (I.E. DVD, CD, Home, etc.) So, under the cable mode on the remote a press of the TV/VIDEO button will switch the TV to the cable input and the sleep button will change the input on the receiver to cable. And so on for each input.

I would like to take those learned commands and make them about of each device as part of an upgrade.

In the IR program, learned Singal..... CBL: TV/Video(a/B) shows this...

# Protocol Device OBC HEX EFC
1 sharp 3 229 A7 247
2 Mitsubishi 71 121 61 009
3 Mitsubishi 71 121 61 009
4 Gap-310-1796-4? 7

I'm using Remote Master, I have also tryed to do this using a key move with no luck.

Thanks

I forgot to ask which OFA or RS remote your using, which might have helped me figure out what that 1110 and 1150 are supposed to be. Right now I have no clue.

Other experts here know about H/K. I don't.

The basic Mitsubishi TV setup code is TV/0150. Is 1150 a typo for that? Or is it some advanced version of TV/0150 I haven't run across? Or is it just a setup code you chose to use in RM to create an upgrade based on TV/0150?

I'm sure the Mitsubishi decode is right and the rest is wrong. I'd like a copy of the eeprom image that has that learned signal, because the Sharp decoder shouldn't be making a mistake like that and I ought to improve it.

Email the eeprom image (from IR's file/save command) or post to the Yahoo JP1 diagnosis folder.

Both of those should have worked.

For a KeyMove, you need a setup code, such as TV/0150, that defines Mitsubishi device 71. And then you just use the EFC from the decode (009).

In RM, select Mitsubishi Protocol and device 71. Then on functions sheet you can get a good start by copying the function names and EFCs from the devices4.xls entry for TV/0150, or from almost any Mitsubishi TV upgrade. Then use the EFC from the learned signal to add that function (assuming it was missing).

After doing the functions sheet, you need to assign functions to buttons on the buttons sheet (the "Auto Assign" button at the bottom of the dialog makes a good start).

Then you copy the device upgrade from the Output sheet of RM to the new device dialog of IR.
