UPC Grey Remote can't send single key twice in a row

Hey Guys,

I faced the problem with old UPC remote. This remote has a problem with all buttons. Once you have clicked any button, the key becomes inactive and won't send identical IR code again. The only way to send IR code again is to press another button which will make the previous one active again.
I looked through RMDU file (https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=12002) and found that it uses manual IR protocol.

Can you please help with this?
Any help I would be very grateful.

Thanks,
Volodymyr

Volodymyr,
I'm a little confused by your post and want some clarification.

Since you just joined, I'm trying to figure out if you've been lurking, and just now needed to post your first question.

Did you load the upgrade you linked to via a cable?

Or are you using some built-in code found in the Grey Comcast Remote?

----------------------
You are describing symptoms of a final frame protocol, or a toggling protocol.

I see that we did a UPC Horizon Decode a few months back, but I don't think we saw any toggle, or final frame in the learns.

What is the model number of the UPC box you are trying to control?

What country are you located in?

Hi Vicky,

I'm from Ukraine and I'm new to this. I just have JP1 IR widget and appropriate software for capturing IR signals from remote. I tried to make binary file for UPC remote and faced such problem.

The box name is UPC Mediabox SD (Pace DC621KU).

Thanks

Fantastic! I was wondering how we were going to get a sample of a working signal.

We need the ICT file of two consecutive presses of the #1 key. Then we can see how the original remote tells the UPC that the first key press ended and a new keypress is being sent. We will be able to see if there is any toggling, or a final frame that terminates a key press.

Excuse me for the delay. Looks like my remote is broken... I'm going to find another one in a few days and respond.
