PS3 is bluetooth. You cannot learn from the sony remote or control it directly with your 8811. You have a couple of options though, like HDMI-CEC, IR dongle or IR-bluetooth converter. If you get a dongle, regular Sony DVD codes usually work with those. If you get a Nyko dongle, we have a couple of Nyko upgrade files. If you use HDMI-CEC with a Sony TV, you can use one of our upgrades that includes Bravia Sync commands.

Understood a reason !

Because that my TV is a Panasonic, so I'm obligate to buy a dongle with standard Sony IR Code... it will be easy to set !

Where can I buy a standard IR dongle ? What model or brand dor you suggest me ?

Thanks

Nyko BluWave is usually cheap and easy to find locally. Although you get a remote and dongle, you'll never use the remote itself. The dongle will have nearly all functions except power on, mainly because the dongle has no power from the PS3 when it's off. If you really need power on, you'll have to spend more and get something like the SmartControl PS3. I've never seen one in the US, but you may find one in Canada. It will work with your 8811 as well.

I picked up an Auvio dongle on clearance at Radio Shack for about $2 a few months back. YMMV

Me too! That's a great option. I didn't mention it because I thought they were long gone. Those use Sony DVD codes as well. I have a couple of PS3 IR adapters, including an Auviio, but no longer have a PS3. If anyone in the US needs one (sorry Martineau), PM me, and you can have mine cheap.
