Hi,I recently purchased slingbox pro hd and have setup remote for one of my devices successfully, but no remote exists in the slingbox setup for my 2nd device - fetch tv PVR. I have spent a couple of hours on the net (including this forum) but can't find a bin file to use.
Is someone able to create the bin file for me please ?? I know the harmony one remote does have the fetch tv PVR in its list as I currently use the harmony one remote to control it. Understand that the bin file can be created by those who have the expertise, a harmony one remote and jp1 cable\remote.
Any help would be much appreciated. Happy to provide any other details required.
Cheers Shane[/b]

thanks very much for the quick reply.
On my harmony one, I am using "FetchTV YX-6936U PVR" to control my fetch tv PVR. From harmony one device setup, it as follows:
DEVICE=PVR
MANUFACTURER=FetchTV
Model=YX-6936U
Thanks very much for looking at this.

In that case no need to build a BIN, it's already there, although the manufacturer is shown as Yuxing.

Hi, I followed instructions and copied bin files into specified location on windows using the slingbox pc client
Went smooth and remote now controls the device from slingbox client for windows pc.
Does this process upload the remote to the slingbox itself (instructions suggest yes) or just to the pc? Remote for this device does work on pc client but not on iPhone , ipad, web based client or wd tv play (this has slingbox client which works fine and controls second device which remote was available from slingbox options). When on those devices it suggests that the device is not configured. It would seem this bin file load only setup the new remote for the pc client and not on the slingbox itself (this is obviously where all the other clients are pulling the remote control from)
Any ideas?

Odd. As you suggest, this procedure downloads the BIN file to the Slingbox and needs doing only once. After that all viewing systems will operate with it, in fact the BIN files are never used again and can be deleted. I have to say that in 3 years of doing this I have never come across this before so don't have a quick answer.
Try reinstalling using the Web-based client using these instructions. Shouldn't make any difference buy has to be tried.
Installation depends on your Slingbox:
Slingbox 350/500
----------------
Follow the instructions at:
http://placeshiftingenthusiasts.com/how ... 0-and-350/
and use just the PL.BIN file.
Other Slingboxes
----------------
Follow the instructions at:
http://placeshiftingenthusiasts.com/for ... -350500-1/
If you have a Pro-HD then use the PL.BIN file. For other Slingboxes try both the files.
Once you have completed the setup and the BIN files have been downloaded to the Slingbox they are not used any more and can be deleted.

Hi, worked it out, but thanks for the reply.
Carried out web based setup using PL version (previously tried this but was not working because I was not putting the entire file name with the .bin extension. Then I noticed comments in the BIN file instructions suggesting it could not be done using the web base client...guessing these instructions were old and web based client now allows setup with custom .bin.
Anyway, all good now. Thanks for you help. Appreciated.
