Really?
The ClearPlay 427 HD upgrade in the section would be a problem for you to open, but Clearplay cp-427b is the same upgrade without the slingbox specific protocol. Give it another look.

I tried all three of the upgrades in the file section today, but my ClearPlay device is not responding to any of them. I just now tried the one you mentioned again, and it still does not work for me.
I'm not new this, although I was using older versions of the software. I was previously using an upgrade for a Panasonic Blu-ray player that I've replaced with ClearPlay device. I tried using IR801 RC3 with no success, but later today I've since been using the latest RM IR and it's still not recognized. I have been successfully using upgrades for my TiVo, LG TV, Sharp VCR & Onkyo receiver for a few years now, just recently replace my Toshiba TV with the LG with no difficulties. But I have spent many hours this afternoon with the ClearPlay with no success.
I did just order a Vizio VUR8 learning remote today to see if I can create my own upgrade. Not sure what's going on. |

Hmm, that one SHOULD work. Often times there is a setting on DVD players to allow more than one unit to work in the same room. Is there anything in the manual that talks about a unit code?
If not could you post the non-working IR file (with a link here) so we can inspect it for common procedural errors. _________________ Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Also, I could not find any unit code settings in the manual for the player. |

Its a MACRO problem
Your DVD macro multiplexes between two different codes
DVD/VCR:1490 and DVD/VCR:0048
depending on short or long keypress. So the vcr/1998 is never used. _________________ Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Thanks. You were right! I guess that's what I get for having made things so complicated. I'd forgotten that I had done that a few years back. All is working now!
Now I just need to find some discrete on/off codes for this thing.
Thanks, again!
