Want to teach discretes to MX-500 from 15-1994 after 10years

Been absent for 10 years, and want to try some discretes after hardware upgrades.
So I started off with current IR.exe and KM since that is what I "knew". That was way too confusing.
So installed RM and RMIR, happily it was much easier (not easy due to outdated instructions), Save the old 1994 configuration, import a upgrade txt file, delete everything but the input, and on/off discretes, assign them to keys (nice job on that), then upload these to the 1994.

It seemed to all work, except for the discrete off.

In the file Panasonic TC-P54V10-HDMI-4.txt which is a pretty close model to my Panasonic TC-P50ST30 the on off txt is
Name:,Panasonic TC-P54V10,,,,v9.18,,,,,,,,CURRENT DATA
Devices:,Panasonic Combo2,128,0,,,,,,,,,,
Manual:,,0 = 1-byte,LSB-COMP,88,NO,,,,,,,,
Setup:,1250,24 = URC-881x / 801x / 601x,02 - TV,EFC,USE,BF FB FE FF,2,No,,,,,
URC-881x / 801x / 601x Device Upgrade/Key Move Code:,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Upgrade Code 0 = 04 E2 (TV/1250) Panasonic TC-P54V10 (KM v9.18),,,,,,,,,,,,,

Discrete Power On,022,0,pause,,,,,,,,,,0F
Discrete Power Off,026,0,record,,,,,,,,,,10

I assigned these to last key, and mute (arbitrary since it is for transfer)
RM IR shows
TV 58 TV 1250 14 E2 83 FF 83 FF "Last" power on
TV 59 TV 1250 14 E2 03 FF 03 FF "Mute" power off

I don't know if this is enough description, but I am trying to figure out if I missed something, or maybe the "off discrete" code just does not work on my set from the 1994 or MX-500. All others work from both.

Is there something I missed? I did read that setup code 377 should work, but I don't know how to implement that (yet).
Still stumbling....
Thanks for any comments, and the great improvements in the software![/u]

It is better to upload the RMIR file so we can see exactly what is sent to the remote. However, I wonder if your remote has volume punch through enabled and sent to, say, Audio? If so, the mute button will send the Audio mute signal instead of the discrete TV signal.

Try using e.g. the Play button for Power Off. If that doesn't work, post your RMIR file.

Thanks, that must have been it! left over from the old programing, under learned signals in the final configuration it does show aux1 vol+ vol- mute with listed sizes, frequency, and **None** as protocol. Changing to play worked wonderfully.

Some more discretes to find, but this helped tremendously.

Thx Jeff, I was (and did find) the discretes which were not in this file but were in the file for the other model. It is a bit of a challenge for me to search for these files, since I did not actually find this one during my search for discretes....
