According to this link http://jynxbox.me/Downloads/b7790c6JYNX ... Manual.pdf
The Jynxbox remote might actually use UEI codes.
The blinkback section sounds very familar. Although it only states to use it for the Audio, DVD/VCR or TV devices I am wondering if this would blink back the STB code as well.

1. Press and hold a device mode key (AUDIO, DVD/VCR, or TV) for at least six seconds. The LEDs for each device key light up, then the key for
the device you selected remains on.

2. Enter 9 9 0 to tell the remote you are verifying the device code.
The LED blinks twice.

3. Press 1, then count the LED blinks and write down the number. If the LED does not blink, the number is 0. This is the first digit of the device code. Press 2, 3, and 4 to obtain all four-code digits.

I found a little more information about this device. Aparenty from what I read on the web, this use a code is similar to the 3son TGR-X in the harmony database.

The problem with this is its an XMP signal that doesn't decode.

Below are some sample learns. I'll try to relearn these tonight, as it may just be too light in here to capture an XMP. But in the meantime, if someone with a stronger understanding of IRP could give me a hint
as to what the device subdevice could be, I'd like to check out the
lookup tool and see if I can locate the OBCs.

XMP:135.294-240F8802240F8802 2

Vicky,
Are you using DecodeIR 2.44? These signals look like Velodyne to me, but Velodyne isn't in 2.43 or earlier.

The subdevice is 0x20 = 32 decimal, and that's true for both XMP and Velodyne.

Here's the same learns with the first and second part of the putative XMP signal spaced away:
2D0F8001 250F8801 1
250F8801 2C0F8002 2
240F8802 2B0F8003 3
230F8803 2A0F8004 4
220F8804 290F8005 5
210F8805 2F0F8069 6
270F8869 290F8050 7
210F8850 270F8052 8
2F0F8852 250F8054 9
2D0F8854 260F8053 0
270F880F 270F880F power

See how the colored digits are reproduced in the line? That's also an indication that this is an erroneous attempt by DecodeIR to interpret Velodyne as XMP, since Velodyne doesn't have two parts.

I thought I had things up to date, but apparently not. I got so confused with the beta, beta of RM, and this being seperated out. The same place where I found that the 3son might be a match for this unit, also mentioned the the Velodyne Subwoofer responded to these signals.

Note, I had edited in my post while you were formulating your answer. I had a problem where the first part was the previous key. This was a problem in the later signals, where the first part was actually from the previous key stroke.

I'll download the latest and greatest, but I wish it was all wrapped together somewhere. This is confusing if you are not following along day by day. Since I just changed computers, everything is out of whack.

Thanks 3FG. With the new decode.dll it now correctly identifies these as Velodyne signals.

Your help is always appreciated. I am sorry I didn't post the ICT files. It would have made your job easier. I always ask people to do it, so I should have known better.

Vicky, thank you very much for working so hard at this. I greatly appreciate it. The IR code V2010 only works as follows:

Power on/off switch works properly
cursor up, down, left, right works properly
channel + makes volume go up
channel - makes volume go down
Number keypad is all working properly
LAST key button inputs in some random channel number
page+ & page- do not work properly
RED/GREEN/YELLOW/BLUE buttons don't work at all
MENU/ GUIDE AND INFO buttons don't work at all
INFO button is faded out and you can't press it
EXIT button does not work at all
PLAY/STOP/FWD/RWD/PAUSE buttons do not work at all.

You're almost there Vicky. I also did what you said on the original Jynxbox remote and it blinked back this code 0585. Hope this helps.

I found another upgrade that shares the values for the number keys, but has different channel and transport keys. Give this one a try.

No differences at all? The keys didn't perform the wrong function?

Check your procedure and test the transport keys and color keys again.

I found yet another upgrade with different values and updated the bin once again.

Give the new one a try, note that this time the bins are V2012

John, I have finished going through the Nec1 1.253 upgrades. I found some likely candidates for the transport ( Play/Pause/Stop.).. keys.

If these don't work, or you need more functions, I've included the RDMU file as a starting point. You can test out the missing obc's to find the missing functions.

https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=11444

Please let us know if these the transport keys are working and please post your final RDMU file.
