1.Device: Yamaha RX-V373
2. Type of device: Receiver
3.Year: 2012
4.JP1/UEI remote model: Atlas 1055, Atlas 1056
5. Do you have a JP1 cable: no
6.Still have orginal remote: yes
7. Checked file section: yes
8.Checked Pronto file section(at R/C): no
9.Partially working setup code: AUD 1276
10. Learning remote question: n/a
11.Have you tried JP1 tool? no

My Suddenlink dvr remote will control volume and muting and will turn power off. It will not turn power on. I have been able to program 00247 into the INFO key and when I press Setup then INFO , the volume will increase. However when I try same procedure with EFC 00246 or EFC 248, I get no response from the receiver; i.e. the receiver does not turn off or turn on. Does this receiver use some other EFCs for power off/power on? I also tried AUD 1476 with same results.

I think you may be out of luck. I don't think you can do this without a cable.

I believe all the on/off switches for this receiver need to have the device number be 126 and as far as I know, there isn't a setup code in either remote that sends a Nec1 126 type signal.

I believe these are the codes you are looking for
Power On= Device 126, OBC 126
Power Off = Device 126, OBC 128
Power Toglee = Device 126, OBC 42

You might want to hunt through all the possible EFCs (0-255), to see if you can find something else, but it is pretty doubtful. We even have a NEC Yamaha combo to deal with these receivers because they send another type of signal too.

There is a small chance that your receiver will respond to 00250.

Also, the Lookup Tool doesn't list Audio 1476 for either the 1055 or 1056. However, if you do get two blinks when you try to assign Audio 1478, then use these EFCs:
36741 Power toggle
16005 Power On
17029 Power Off

Vicky,
I believe that Power Off is OBC 127, not 128.

I got mine from a shoddy source, so I believe you are right.
