Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

Can you use the 918hd remote with the 918g? If you can, the old bin file will work. If you can't, it won't.hexman wrote:but that file is for sf 918 hd, my new stb is 918G !

I'm not asking about bin files. I'm asking, can you use the physical remote that came with the 918hd on your 918g stb?

Amazon.de is selling a replacement remote stating it controls the following models
Remote control for Octagon SF 918 + SE, SE + 918G, 1008, 1008SE, 1008SE +, 1008P, 1008C, 1008g, 1018 and SF-1028P HDTV
I think that would indicate that this BIN should fit. Are you sure your blasters are firing, and your placement is good?

But first things first, he should confirm whether the physical remotes are interchangeable

Just FYI, the SF-1008 and SF-1018 IR both use NEC1 dev 2.249 (and they use the same OBCs). The SF-918HD uses NEC1 dev 4.112 with different OBCs.
