However many people successfully use JP1 remotes with the IR543 converter (IR to X10). Here's one: http://www.x10.com/products/x10_ir543.htm
I have one of these hidden in my HT rack, and have my electric-ignition fireplace connected through one of these: http://www.x10.com/automation/x10_um506.htm so that I can light a fire by remote.
With a JP1 macro, I can even to it with a single button push instead of the cumbersome X10 addressing method (X10, 1, On, etc.) _________________ TiVo FREAK!
Brutalizing my 15-1994 since 2000, thanks to JP1
Now abusing a 6131m, 2116, and 2104 too! |
