Hi,which jp1 cable is required for one for all RF remote control URC8090 for USB connection?

Is that the big klunky All in One Producer 8 in one remote that's more than 10 years old? If so its and EEPROM remote, and needs an EEPROM compatible cable.

JP1 cables are kind of a cottage industry and only available on line.

You can buy a USB JP1 EEPROM cable, or a USB FLASH cable with an EEPROM adapter. Its my understanding that the FLASH cables are going to be significantly less expensive next month.

The modern remotes require the FLASH cable. Your remote (the producer 8) has an odd-ball chip in it, and so the support is not as good for this remote as it is for the other types of remotes because it uses an odd assembly language, so if the devices you are looking to support use some odd protocol, help might be hard to come by.

Check the Market place in this board for USB EEPROM cables.

Thanks this information is really very helpfull.If I go for new JP 1 remote,which you recomendfrom one for all or Radio Shack?

Currently the best remote to buy would be the RCA RCR005B remote. Its a 5 device remote with 3 phantom devices when you have a cable. It has learning and it has all the JP1 bells and whistles. It is inexpensive too.
It is in the remote family that has the best (s3c8) protocol support too.

None of the current remotes have the RF repeater system. Many people here have used a new system where you put a special battery holder in your remote that sends out the RF signal.

I see that you are relatively new to the forum, and don't know how much you have abosorbed.

Is there something new you need to control? We can see if we have an upgrade available for your model....

As I said the support for producer's chip set is rather limited, but there are people around that know how to write the assembles. But if you explore RemoteMasters protocols.ini file looking for "code.", you will see that lots of the known protocols don't have the code.740 support. So you may have trouble. We do have people that can write for the 740, but they haven't been very active on the boards lately. On the other hand the S3C8 have the best support. I'm an HCS08 specialist, and am realtively active on the boards, so I add protocols for that chip set.

Many many thanks for your detailed reply.yes I am new to the forum,but I have knowledge about electronics as being building the projects.Actually I have purchased a remote controlled LCD Tv stand (chinese),which came with a GHanz TV remote controller on which you have to press scan button for about 6 seconds entering the stand control mode then controlling the stand by up/down and Rt/Lt keys.
I want the concerned keys to be programmed on my Sony LCD Tv controller,which has learning feature.I tried the pre set codes but sucess.
In other case I'll go for the remote control suggested by you.
