Atlas 1056 B03 Extender v1.00

Post by mathdon »

I have built and uploaded Extender v1.00 for the Atlas 1056 B03. This is the first extender for a JP2 remote and should be regarded at present as experimental, with the usual warning USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. If you try it, please report your experience in this thread, whether it is good or bad.

The extender adds to the remote the capabilities for keymoves and device specific macros (DSMs), including device specific multimacros on the three multimacro keys. It differs from most other extenders in that no existing functionality of the remote is changed. The extender remains in place through a change of batteries and even through a 981 factory reset. The six-character signature of the remote is changed from 201009 to 2010A9 when the extender is installed, but the five-digit signature returned by the 983 blink-back command remains as 20109. The installer in the extender package can be used also to uninstall it if desired. Full instructions for installing and uninstalling the extender are given in the ReadMe file in the extender package.

To install and use the extender, you need RMIR v2.02 Beta 1.5t or later. Instructions for installing this development version are given in this post, also reachable through the Web Site link on its file download page.

Hi mathdon,

I just installed the extender on my Atlas 1056B03 in order to gain key move functionality, and it worked great. Thanks for writing this and providing the easy-to-follow ReadMe!
