Hi,

I'm looking for the Binary code to make my “ZyXel STB2102 Nano” work with slingbox solo and have been unable to find it. Crying or Very sad

I've searched everywhere for codes for this set-top-box which is supplied by Telefonica for the optic fiber customers in Brazil.

Any help with the codes is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

According to my findings this uses the same codes as the ZyXel STB100H. What happened when you tried that Custom Remote ?

Hi alanrichey, thanks for the quick response.

I've tried the ZyXel STB100H before, but after your post I tried it again to be certain it does not work for the STB-2102.

I did not receive any error message. (except the “No update found. Please click next to continue” which is just related to the skin, right?)

The power command did not work, anyway I continued to finalize the setup. None of the buttons worked.

The IR blasters are working. I confirmed that with the digital camera test as well as checking a green light on the STB that flashes shortly when receiving IR commands.

I also tried configuring it in two machines with Sling Player as well as switching to another remote and then back to the STB100H custom files.

I think I did all the tests to confirm the ZyXel STB-2102 Nano do not work with the STB100H files, but please let me know if you think I should do any further test or configuration.

I still have hope in making this remote to work!!! Smile

Thanks Again,
BR,
Marcelo

You seem to have done everything I can think of. No more suggestions I'm afraid.

I assume you have tried http://remotes.slingbox.com ?

Alanrichey, thanks for the help! I was able to map most of the keys using the tool on http://remotes.slingbox.com

Only the Power button there was no way to make it work. Is it common? Is there any tip to make the power button to work?

I don't know whether this process saved in my machine a file with this remote configuration. If it did maybe I can share it making it easier for others. Please let me know.

Best Regards,
Marcelo

Yes, if you use the Export Remote option it will save a 'myRemote.lrz' file. Post that here and I will have a look at it.

I uploaded the file "myRemote.lrz" to this link:
{{megaupload file deleted}}

I really appreciate if I can get any help to make the Power button work.
The other important buttons are working fine in this file.

Thanks in advance!!!

That isn't how it's going to happen. I cannot edit that file to add the Power Button, but I can use it to try and produce a Custom Remote.

Now, I managed to figure out half the buttons (not including the Power Button unfortunately) and have produced a test Custom Remote at http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=9724

This has the number buttons and a couple of arrow buttons and the Menu buttons mapped out. Do they work ?

Alan, thanks, but I could not use the file you sent. When selecting Others>Custom and putting the code C2010 I receive the following message: "Custom remote code not found. Please try a different code."
The files are in the ...\SlingPlayer\SBAV.

Is there any logical reason for the code mapping I did fail the only the power button? I tried it many times.

Sorry, my fault, I missed a step out in the build. I've updated the file with new BIN files, try again.

The remote has a few problems:
These keys (that were in the .lrz file) are not enabled in the remote you sent: left arrow, up arrow, ok, back (last) and guide.
This key is enabled but with the wrong code: number 8 (it is sending same as the menu button).
All other buttons are good: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ,6 ,7, 9, 0, up channel, down channel, right arrow, down arrow and menu.

Thanks again for the help.

Best Regards.

Alan,
Give these OBC's a try

OBC
92 =number 8
8 = power
88 = left
56 = up
107 = mute
15 = ok/select
91 =exit
124= display
