Juts got a Yamaha 2500 that comes with the RAV352 remote, which has JP1 pins. But I can't find the RDF files for it. Does anyone know who manufactures the remote and whether I can use another RDF file for mapping?

I'd love to have an easy way to transfer the info from my existing 8910 to the new remote.

Connect the remote to your JP1 cable and download the memory. If it's a re-labelled remote, IR will automatically pick the right RDF. If it doesn't get recognised, save the downloaded file and post it here in the Diagnosis Area and we'll take a look at it. (But post a link to the file or we won't look).

I'm new to the forum. Does anyone have any insight into how to disassemble this remote?. I can not find any screws and I'm guessing that they are there. I have downloaded and read Tommy Tyler post on how to take remotes apart.

Also any thoughts on typical failure modes. The LED indicator appears to be working correctly, however the A/V receiver does not respond. However the A/V responds to a different Yamaha remote.
