I have a urc-8910b02 remote and wanted to know if there was a way to prevent the battery from draining quickly on a regular basis?
Any help would be appreciated |

How fast are they dying? The batteries in my 8910 typically last 9 months until the battery indicator starts to display, but I can still get another month or so before it starts to get too weak. I typically use fresh Ray-O-Vac alkalines. |

Maybe your rechargeable batteries you're using are on its last legs. Have you tried using non-rechargeables or a brand new completely charged rechargeable batteries? _________________ Remotes; JP1.2: Comcast URC-1067, JP1.3: Insignia NS-RC02U-10A, JP1.4 OARI06G, JP2.1: Cox URC-8820-MOTO (still trying to figure out how to make them self-aware.) |

Rechargeables work fine in the 8910 but since they start at about 1.2V each instead of >=1.5V for non-rechargeables then they drop below acceptable operating voltage sooner. |
