Ok, I'm back again.
Need file for Western Digital WDTV Live Plus
1. Device: WDTV Live Plus
2. Type of device: Streaming Media Player
3. Year: 2010
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: Atlas 1055
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? Yes
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? No
10. Learning remote question? No
11. Have you tried the JP1 Lookup Tool? Yes
I did find this in the file section
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=7762
But, it's for WDTV Live (not plus) and I'm not really sure what to do with the .txt file.
Thanks in advance for all assistance. |

Ok. Well the rmdu upgrade file worked fine.
But, my WDTV Live Plus remote has some different buttons then are listed as functions in the rmdu file.
For example, I have an option button that really is needed for proper operation. There's no option function.
There are also home and eject buttons on the remote that have no associated function in the rmdu file.
Is there any way to add functions?
This file has home, eject and option in it, but I'm sure what to do with this file.

EDIT: I can use keymap master with that file, right? |

You can open either rmdu files or KM files with RM. Open the file that has "Options", etc. listed, and write down the OBC for those functions. Then open the working rmdu file and insert new lines for "Options", etc. You'll need to type in the function name and the OBC. RM will fill in the other fields. Save this modified file, and upload it to the remote. |

I can operate directly on the KM .txt file in KM. Just tweaking it now. I think this should work. |

I used KM, changed the remote type to my remote, I also had to change the device type to DVD instead of misc video or whatever it was and I moved a few of the functions to different buttons more to my liking.
I now have all buttons from the original remote mapped out on to my jp1 remote and it's all working well.
Thanks again! |
