Hi there-

I've searched pretty extensively, but I can't find a definitive answer to my question.

I have a Yamaha RX-A720 receiver, which has two-zone capability.

I use a URC RF-20 remote, "trained" by the Yamaha remote, to control Zone 2, which is outside.

I most often use the "Net" sources (AirPort, Pandora, server, Internet radio) outside, which on the factory remote are toggled through using one button. When I'm outside and can't see the receiver, I have to hit the "Net" button, and listen until I hear the source I'm looking for.

I have a Time Warner-provided Atlas OCAP 5 (1056B01). (I also have a URC SR3, but I don't think that'll help me at all) I have a table of Yamaha extended function codes, such as 7A 1D for Power On, and I'm hoping I can program the Atlas for these codes, and then teach the RF20 - yes, no, maybe?

Thanks very much for any insight

The Yamaha Zone 2 codes are all device number 127. However, the OBCs (function numbers) don't conform to the NEC1 IR protocol standard, and I'm not aware of any universal which has these signals built in. Here in the JP1 community, we refer to these signals as NEC1, y1 style.

PC/MCX 109
NET RADIO 112
Rhapsody Napster 118
SIRIUS Internet Radio 130
Pandora RECEIVER 134
AirPlay 146

If you buy or assemble ($20) a JP1.3 flash interface cable, you can upload these signals to your Atlas using the NEC1 4DEV Yamaha Combo executor, and then teach them to the RF20.
