Kameleon 15-2133

Post by 66stangsprint »

Hey everybody. I've got a Kameleon 15-2133. I bought it new a couple years ago, but never really used it as I moved around ALOT. Well, as a college dorm gift, my parents gave me a Philips Micro Hi-Fi System (stereo/cd player), model # MC235B/37. I got it set up, and dug the remote out, and found a code for philips in the back. Unfortunately, it doesn't work.

So I called the upgrade (customer service) hotline but it just gives me the busy signal, so I think that number works anymore.

I really like this remote and want to use it, so I did some searching and found this place, and read that I could make my own wav to upgrade the remote. I'm just not sure how.

Could somebody please tell me (or put up a link) to what I'll need to create a wav to make my remote work?

Thanks, Michael.

Did you try the lookup tool?

If you had, you would've found these:

CD 0269
CD 0626
CD 0891
CD 0892
CD 1089
CD 1189
CD 1269

There are more under Cable, DVD, TV etc, but one of the CD codes seem more likely, but the highest likelihood is that your remote does not have a setup code for RC5 with device 16 and 17.

Remote Central has Pronto codes for a MC165, which sounds similar to your model. Several of the IR signals are available in the 15-2133 using setup codes CD 1089 and 1189. Please assign these setup code (one at a time! :D ) and check to see if your equipment responds correctly. If any of it works, then we can probably get a WAV upgrade going for you.

Code: Select all

Vol-	1189
Vol+	1189
CD Ch-	1089
CD Ch+	1089
CD	1089 digit 1
Scan_Back	1089/1189 Rewind
Play	1089/1189
Scan_Forward	1089/1189 Fast Fwd
Pause	1089/1189
Stop	1089/1189
POWER	1089
MUTE	1189
INC.SUR	1089
Tuner Ch-	1189
Tuner Ch+	1189
TUNER	1089 digit 2 or 1189 +10
