Oh good, I'm glad we are on the same page. We may have two slightly different protocols here, and need to tweak the official 01DD protocol to run at 50hz. Thanks to you we can read the signal, and thanks to Rob we have the OBCs. However at this point its just academic, because we don't have a tester.

So, I am curious if one of the earlier upgrades created for the Humax would meet the requirements for the Samsung? Or if I would be oversimplifying its creation by taking the current Humax (BixExp) protocol and Advance > Edit Protocol... > Protocol Data tab then changing the Frequency from 56.338 to 50.0 and creating bin files with it?

That's the general idea. Here's an RM file where I've done just that...

I think the reason bnordman was interested in the C5270 was because the Humax and Samsung allegedly "use the same firmware". At least I read that when searching earlier, although I can't find that webpage now. So if someone is trying to control the C5270, I think it would be prudent to try both frequencies. Both the Humax and C5270 are used by KabelBW in Germany, and of course cable companies prefer to use the same remote protocols when practical.

Sounds good enough for me.

I uploaded bin files exported from your RMDU, so they're ready for testing.
BIN file Instructions.

I just tracked down the thread in the Slingbox forum with a view to posting a notice about the upgrade, but Earl beat me to it! Smile

Note that in the Slingbox forum, a post includes

I think it's a problem with the german KabelBW-Receivers. Today i bought an other model (Humax iHD-Fox C) and inside there was the same remotecontrol (optic and function) as in my Samsung SMT-C5270. I also can use the Samsung remotecontrol for the new Humax.
So either they both use the same frequency or at least one box is tolerant of the other frequency.
