Sumvision Cyclone MKV 2 help

Hi all,

I've a Sumvision Cyclone MKV 2 Enclosure that the remote stopped working. Sent it off for replacement, about 5 months ago and despite many many promises of "I'll chase it up, it should be with you in a few days" still nothing, so I'm going to try the JP1 route. Really wish I'd captured the codes from it before it died but that's life.

There's a code for the MKV v1 in the files section, but before I start setting up the necessary equipment to configure the remote I thought I'd ask if anyone knew whether the remotes use the same code, or if anyone had an MKV 2 Enclosure specific file.

(it's a huge hassle to do the JP1 stuff now as I have a Parallel Port interface and my computer is on Windows 7, so I'm going to have to set up something on XP specifically for doing JP1).

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Sqirrelz,

When posting in this forum, you really should use the required template.

This came back to bite me too. I didn't capture my signals of a standalone device, and then one morning I went to use it and the batteries had leaked and destroyed the remote. When I went to create a remote I found we didn't have a Toshiba dvd upgrade and I had to spend a long time working on EFC searches to create an upgrade. Its a hard lesson to learn. Now the first thing I do when I get a new remote is capture and post. This keeps my upgrades available even if my computer should crash.

Had you captured your signals and posted them in the forum, we would have a definate answer for you.

Please post back and let us know if the MKV v1 works for you.

Good Luck!

Looking at an old thread from 2003, it appears that squirrelz has a URC-7560 and a URC-7562, but it appears that he/she never got to grips with the software.

Apologies for not using the template, must be losing the plot as I never saw that sticky.

Lol, that thread is a long, long time ago. I did get there in the end and had both remotes doing what I wanted, I think it was a problem with the versions of software I was using and an upgrade sorted it.
