RS 15-2117 Refuses to "learn" certain keys

I've entered a device code on my RS 15-2117 (8-in-1) remote for my Sony DVD player. Most keys work, except for the FF and REW keys. So I just wanted to teach those keys to the remote from my original Sony remote and when I try to do that, the remote refuses to over-ride those keys.

Is it because I programmed it using a device code?

Having a device code assigned does not impact learning.

If you have learned other keys then you may just be filling up in the "learning" area. Try clearing some out.

I am also not aware of any restrictions on those buttons for learning but try to learn to other keys anyway. This could rule out my first comment about being full if it works.

If you have a jp1 cable you will probably be able to use existing updates from the jp1 file area
