paula0015, Can you find some learns or post some learns of this protocol, my sc38+ are not accessible right now, so I can't see how this signal is supposed to look.
I need some learns so that I can test a protocol. A few will do, since I don't need to do the actual decoding, Rob has already done that. I just need to be able to match one or two signals so that I know I've done things right.
Post a link to the ir file here. I'm in the middle of a project here, so it may take a while. Please mark the notify me when a reply is posted box, so that you'll know when there is something to see.

Thank you. I have posted a file, CW4000 Learned.ir in the Diagnosis Area

Thanks, but not working at all. No response from the CW4000 -- correct or incorrect.

Oops, I asked for your signal and then I didn't have enough connectivity to download the file. But I have it now and I see that the CaptiveWorks 4000 has a slightly different signal than the 3000. I have the play from the 3000 upgrade from both a JP1.3 and JP1.2 remote, and the play from the 4000 that you captured.
Now I have to figure out what numbers to use in the upgrade to get the timings to look the same. Eeewww. Oh well, I'm close and we should have a working upgrade this weekend.

Hmm, I see what Rob did with the original captive works, and I'm going to need a more complete list of the 4000 to figure out how this needs to be done with the new numbers.

Please explain "a more complete list of the 4000". A list of functions or more learned codes?

I/we need the complete set of learns, so that we can figure out how to code this.
The CaptiveWork 3000 used a multiple of 840. The on and off times were multiples of 840, this one looks like we'll need multples of 410, but the signal goes the same amount of time, so we'll have to use a different scheme.
The protocol has a toggle, it has two parts. Its quite complicated.
I'm hoping Rob will give me some guidance here. I can't see the patterns, but once he explains them to me I can code and test them.

Do I still need to send more learns?

I see Rob's post following the request for more learns. (Not that I understand a single thing there). Is that a solution or would you still like more learned keys.
Thanks for all of this.

We still need the complete list of learns. We need the complete pattern before we can create a protocol.
Rob's post was an answer to my plea for help.
Rob has a talent for spotting and simplifying patterns. I actually think he LIKES this part of the decode process. For me that is nearly impossible and totally frustrating. However, when it comes to coding and debugging the HCSO8 protocol executor, I find it challenging and at the same time relaxing and enjoyable.
We're always looking for people that have the talent for pattern recognition, and when I have a question like this, Rob will explain this in the forum instead of doing it one-on-one so we might capture someone else's interest.

Yes. My turn to be busy. I'll try to learn them Sunday morning.
And, please, no big rush on your end. My CW4000 is being RMA'd for bad behavior. I probably won't see it again for three weeks.
