Hi guys,
don't know if I'm in the right area but, I'm after the codes to allow my Kameleon 8060 to control my Sumvision Cyclone micro 2 media player as its native remote is rather weak to say the least.
TIA
STeve

You would think the sticky post for the Mandatory Template requirement would be easier to find since there's not many threads in this sub-forum. Especially since it is contained in the thread titled as, "READ BEFORE POSTING or your post will be DELETED!"

In case you ever do get a JP1 cable, I found a match and recorded the IR signals with the JP1 tools to create the respective files. You could also open the RMDU file in Remote Master to get the EFCs for each of the functions and program it manually. Although, as I understand that's kind of a pain in the accessory.

The URC-8060 can load upgrades via it's modem. I have reformatted the upgrade as CBL/2000 and made it into the following WAV file:

It's been over a week, I wonder if he had been successful?

Hmm, "didn't work at all" is rather vague. I figure your remote still cannot control the device but it doesn't describe what was done or what type of feedback you got. For example, it does not tell us whether or not there were any blink back errors while trying to install the modem upgrade. Or, if it even acknowledged the upload at all. Have you tried to program the remote manually using setup code 0717 and the respective EFCs listed in the RMDU file? Perhaps are you ordering a JP1 cable in order to upload the upgrade(s) into your remote?

I suspect it is possible that your not able to teach IR commands to the remote because its memory allocation for learns might be full. But, really we do need a little more feedback on what you've tried so far to be of any assistance.

How do I make some space then? I'd rather not blank it fully as it is set up for my Topfield PVR.

Was that Topfield set up via a WAV file?

If so the previous WAV upgrade already overwrote it.

Was the WAV file accepted by your remote?

If so, did you figure out how to assign CBL/2000 to a button?

I did the topfield setup via the telephone, nothing I've tried has erased the Topfield setup. I've got it on the Satellite button.

When you say "via telephone", did that involve you holding your remote up to the phone while the phone made a sound like an old fashioned modem? If so, that means that you already have a WAV file upgrade loaded and if you were to be successful in loading a new WAV file upgrade, it would overlay your current one.

So, we would need to create a WAV file for you that includes *both* the Topfield and the Sumvision.

As for the learning issue, if you were to do a user reset (ie, the 980 function) on the remote, it should delete any learned signals (and any keymoves) but it would not delete your current Topfield upgrade.
