Not sure if you're asking for something, but I decided to take a look in the Lookup Tool.

RCRP05B remote, much newer than C7 of course, has two setup codes: CBL/2360 and CBL/2450. And according to Vicky's lookup, both use NEC1 protocol (005A) on Device 0. There's a bunch of EFCs worth trying for an upgrade.

I have never had a converter box.
It is a simple thing.
Are you saying that Cable box codes work with it?

A friend inherited a TV and someone misplaced the converter box remote. I have tons of one for all's C7s nd I thought I'd fix him up.

Thanks for responding.

I'm saying no such thing.
Your title said converter box.

In the RCRP05B manual is a list of converter boxes with the GE codes I listed.
You will NOT find those codes in the C7. You will have to make an upgrade of some sort. So my only suggestion is to try the codes Vicky has in the Lookup tool.

If it doesn't work, then post back.

Found a match and recorded the IR signals with the JP1 tools to create the respective files.
