NEC1-X2 (two repeats of data)

On a Creative RM-900 remote, I found that it outputs NEC then NEC1 protocol decodes for each function (both protocols have the same Device, Subdevice and Function codes, using DecodeIR.dll version 2.41)
A search of NEC protocols with Device 193 and Subdevice 68 revealed that the original remote Function codes corresponded to Audio Device 0872, with the protocol being NEC1-X2 and the Parameter (3rd Device number) being 22.

Is this just an information post or do you need help with it?

This is an information post; DecodeIR.dll needs an update to cater for this particular protocol.

DecodeIR reports exactly what's there. It's up to the user to interpret what they see and select the right protocol with the right options.

I agree with Rob, decodeIR NEEDS to report this as Nec-Nec1, but I'm very happy that you called this protocol to my attention, because I was totally misreading the name of this protocol.
I was confusing Nec1-X2 with Necx1 and Necx2, because I'd never seen all three names together.
So I loaded up my Atlas and took a look at the Aud/0872 signal with my IR-Widget.
A Nec1 sends:
Nec, ditto, ditto, ditto, ditto.....
A Nec2 sends:
Nec, Nec, Nec, Nec, Nec.......
A Nec1-X2:
Nec, Nec, ditto, ditto, ditto, ditto.
A Necx1 is a signal that follows the Nec1 rules except the lead-in timing pair is smaller and ditto timings rules are different.
A Necx2 is a signal that folllows the Nec2 rules except the lead-in timing pair is smaller.
