Failure importing several KM files into RM - Help

Hello All -
I am trying to import the KM files for the HK AVR500 Receiver and Motorola 2200 cable box into RM. When the device is imported there are no codes and no keys mapped.
I need to use RM because I cannot get the proper plug-ins (add-ins) for Excel to work on my machine. I am using an RCU810 remote.
Any help would be great!!
Jeff

RM has trouble importing KM files that use protocols not yet setup in the protocols.ini file.

Are you talking about the Analysis ToolPak? If it's not already installed (it gets installed in a default setup, but is not activated), it should be on the Office installation disc, and can be installed by running the Office setup program.

I just checked the files you mentioned, and they seem to use protocols supported by RM. You should check the rmaster.err file to see if it contains any clues as to what else may be wrong.

I import file and it says the remote 15-1994 is not found so I pick the RS 15-1994 6 in 1 Smart.
I have RCU810 selected in the remote type and tuner as the device type. This is the result I get in the output section after trying to import the file HK-AVR500.txt
Upgrade code 0 = 45 f1 (Tuner/1521)
5e 00 01 00 00
END
The master.err has tons of stuff in it but I have no idea what it means.
I will try and load the Analysis Toolpak again but it does not seem to work for me.
Thanks,
Jeff

RM is having problems because these KM files are from rather old versions of KM, and their format is different enough that RM is having trouble parsing them. I may have a fix sometime tomorrow.

I've just made RM v0.85 available, as you can see
here. It should fix your problems.
