SLINGBOX BINARY- Pace TDC787X "aspen"

Post by bgratton »

I'm looking for the Binary code to make my Pace TDC787x "Aspen" work with slingbox solo and have been unable to find it. I can kind of make it work using the closest available code, but don't have full remote functionality (i.e. can't access menu to play recorded shows etc.) Any help would be appreciated.

Actually it looks like a standard Motorola box so any of those remotes should work.

This one seems to be most people's favourite:

Finally... I have been using a pace remote for my slingbox for about a 7 months now. never have been able to use the dvr functions. The remote you suggested worked perfectly. Doesn't look the same, but works non the less. Thanks again.

If you are using the standalone Slingplayer, just use the Menu option Slingbox > Remote Control and select the basic remote.

Unfortunately I can not find a way to pick a "Custom" or "Other" remote after picking Motorola for the manufacturer. Did slingbox change the setup interface or am I missing the obvious, as usual? :-/

New to sling so forgive newbie stuff!

Web based, as I am currently away from home.

No excuse for not checking the README file :D

"(These instructions assume you have installed the standalone Slingplayer on your PC/MAC, as you cannot install Custom Remotes from the Web-based player. If you do not have the program see http://support.slingbox.com/go/windows- ... desktop-us)"

And you can do all this away from home, no need to wait.

Finally took the time to do it right and now that the instructions have been spoon-fed to me, I got it to work.

Thanks!
