The WAG160N is a wireless router, why would you need to control your router with your Slingbox?

i dont knowslinggbox want connect the router and want username and password i enter but it said wrong than i select i want to fix manually than i see router list select linksys bu i cant see wag160n but i fix without that and now i watch my tv i change channel
if i use it diffrent place can i connect my tv?
