New Computer

Post by vickyg2003 »

I'm "thinking" about buying a new computer. I'm currently running Win 2k with Office 2K.

I have a USB JP1 cable and a USB JP1.2/3 cable and a Widget.
Are these all okay under Win 7?

I'll probably get an updated version of Office when/if I get a new computer.
Are both KM and PB up to date with the newer versions of EXCEL?

Are there any other spreadsheets going to give me problems if I upgrade my office version?

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

I've tested all the latest KM & PB versions with XL97 through XL2007 and they work fine since I removed all the toolpak functions. I have not tested with any more recent versions of Office.

So the toolpak option doesn't need to be installed anymore?

I've never used protocol builder, but KM 9.19 is completely fine with Excel 2010.
I used to have 5 remotes that controlled one thing each. Now I have 6 remotes that each control everything!

Not for KM, I don't recall whether PB still uses it, but I suspect it does.

After I asked that question, I went in and turned off the ToolPak addins on my excel and pb 4.01 and excel 9.20 seem to work as advertised.
