As you pointed out, there is no Hauppage upgrade in either the JP1 file section, nor in the RemoteCentral area.
The Lookup tool shows a couple of Hauppage VAC (Video Accessorie) setups that might be worth a try.
Set the AUD key up to 1269
Point your remote at the Hauppage device
Then do a short press of the Setup key
then type 1 7 1 0 1
if that turned on/off the hauppage unit we're looking for something like Cable/1757
If that didn't work
Point your remote at the Hauppage device
Then do a short press of the Setup key
then type 1 9 1 4 9
if that turned on/off the Hauppage unit we're looking for something like Cable/1408.

FWIW I have a couple of Hauppauge remotes that appear to be identical physically to the one for the WinTV-USB and these are using RC5 device 30.
Assuming that it's the same one, IR is showing a learn of the power key as EFC 110, 102, 126 and OBC 26. The "1" key shows EFC as 205, 197, 221 with OBC 1.

That was because he had misspelled "Hauppauge" as "Hauppage" in the original post, which I have since fixed. There are several Hauppauge files in the file section.

The Hauppage files are in the PVR section-- which wasn't obvious to me. All of them have the same OBCs for a given function, but some are device 30 and some are device 31.
The RCRP05B doesn't have Video 1992 (it's in older remotes) but that appears to be an exact match for OBCs, using device 31.

Yes I ususally just use the FileSearch function, but of course that only works if I can spell the name correctly.

If the hvr-950 uses the same code as the WintTV-hvr-1250 then it looks like 17101 should work the power. (If I did those calculations correctly) Doh!

Thanks for all the responses. The above did indeed work. That said what do I have to do next? Trying to program cable 1757 into my RCRP05b doesnt work.

once you've confirmed that these codes work with your equipment, you can keymove these to the desired keys for permanant use.

Thanks 3FC! Thanks to everyone actually.
Question, how were you able to come up with those EFC codes? I looked in the Lookup Table and couldn't find anything for device 30 protocol RC-5 for my RCRP05b. And the codes in the file "Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1250 (URC-10820)" did not match either.

All of the Hauppage upgrades show the same OBCs, which are the actual function numbers sent as part of the IR signal. EFCs are encoded data which is routed in the remote to the executor, which is a subroutine that turns the EFCs into the pattern of light flashes that make up the IR signal.
However, the device numbers in the upgrades are either 30 or 31. Your remote doesn't have a setup code which specifies a RC5 executor with device 31. Vicky has pointed out that your remote has an executor (specified by Audio 1269) which accepts EFCs that incorporate both device number and OBCs for each button. She had you do an experiment that demonstrated that your Haupppage responds to device 31. The executor in 1269 is called RC5/RC5x combo, and I set up RM for the RC5/RC5x combo protocol, took the OBCs from the 1250 upgrade (which uses a simple RC5 executor), pasted them into RM, and set the device number for each button to be 31. RM then listed the corresponding EFCs.

That's right there was no setup code in your remote that called RC5 with device 30, but there was a combo code that would send RC5 signals.
That combo code needed different parameters. I used RM (RemoteMaster) to translate the power EFC's to OBC's and then used those OBC's to compute the EFC's for the combo execture.
Edit: I see 3fg beat me to this.

Excellent. However, Vicky in your first post you seemed to know what the OBC was for power, how did you know. Even knowing that the protocol is rc5/rc5x device 30 or 31, you cant generate the correct EFC in remotemaster for the power button without the correct OBC. Just curious. Thanks!

Like 3FG said, all of the Hauppauge upgrades used the same OBCs, and Vicky's lookup tool would also have listed the OBCs, so getting the OBC wasn't difficult. She also would have used the same method as 3FG to come up with the two 5 digit EFC codes, one using dev 30 and another using dev 31.

I used the lookup tool, saw that there were two Haupauge VAC devices, one had device 30, the other device 31. I clicked on the EFCs link and it showed me that both the EFC for power was 82 on both the VACs. So I opened a session of RM, changed the protocol to RC-5, typed in 082 in the EFC column and found out that the obc was 61.
I opened another RM session and Changed the REMOTE to RCA RCRPO58 (that is an important step because we need a remote that is capable of using 5 digit EFC's or they will not be shown.) then I changed the protocol to RC5/5x, punched in 30 for the device and 61 for the obc and it computed the 5 digit EFC for me.
