Deleting files

Post by The Robman »

I have changed the settings in some of the folders in the file section, with a view to possibly changing them all, so that files cannot be deleted by individual users, they'll need to be deleted by an admin.

So, if you find that you want to delete a file and you cannot, please either send me a PM or post something in the forum, with a link to the file and the reason that it needs to be deleted.

Thanks.

I like that, as I have sometimes wanted files with links in posts, only to find those files have been deleted. But if it also applies (now or in the future) to the Diagnosis Area, you should change the description of that area, which currently reads (my italics):
Diagnosis Area
Place files here for review by other JP1 members and experts. Please delete your files when the issue is resolved.
If you don't intend it to apply to the Diagnosis Area, I suggest a note in this thread to say so. My own opinion is that I would like it to apply to that area. An issue may be resolved, but it can still be of interest to other users, perhaps especially developers.
