I was just wondering if you can put in a custom IR code for the slingcatcher to send out a code to the remote slingbox to control the AV. Reading from the posts, I understand that for you to control any AV device which is not supported by Slingbox, you would need to get a copy of a .BIN file which you will upload in your slingbox directory on your PC. What if I am using a slingcatcher? Will there be any chance that I can make the custom code work?

Slingcatcher is such a straightforward device but I do not know how to make this thing work if my AV is not supported. Any way we can do this? Thanks.

I think you misunderstand the logic of this. The Slingcatcher is simply a way of viewing the Slingbox output on a TV rather than on your PC.

All the controlling of the AV device is done by the Slingbox and anything you do on the Slingbox subsequently appears on ALL methods of viewing, Slingplayer, sling.com, Slingcatcher, SP Mobile....

So as such the Slingcatcher is not relevant.

Please give us a bit more information on what you have.
