8 Device, Backlit, Learner, It sure would be nice if its JP1.x with accessible pins. _________________ Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

HERE it is for $15.56 shipped. Somebody get one and find out (or wait for Rob to check his sources and tell us).
They have pretty decent prices on lots of one-for-alls (SEARCH). |

As it's an 8 device I would expect that it is JP1 compatible, but it would need a new RDF, etc. _________________ Rob

Its 17.56 shipped, but they don't take paypal. So I can'r order one! Its probably not a JP1.2 anyway. _________________ Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Let's just say I will be very surprised if it is JP1.2.
Still - I'll take an 8-device backlit JP1.3 learner with pins for $18! Anyone gone for it yet?

Ok guys I ordered one and will let you know when it arrives should be here Wednesday or Thursday. I had also order 2 of these units to check out and they do not have a JP1 connector but has pads and is labeled JP2 so I hope the 8 device is different if not oh well I can send it back.

The word I hear is that none of the new line has JP1 connectors:

So why does UEI put 6 pin connectors on any of their remotes? Does for example Comcast do any custom programming or clean up of returned remotes?
I can see that the 6 pin connector is very cheap, but aside from our community, which customers derive benefit from the connector? |

Do the new remotes have the holes for the connecter? I added the connecter to my old Cinema7. _________________ Jim Anderson |

If its similar to the OARG05G, it won't have the holes either. _________________ Edmund |

So do we know the pads that are used and if so can we still use the JP1.3 cables or is this JP2 a whole new ball game? If we know the pinouts I will solder some wires on and see if we can talk to the unit.
Also there are now 10 pads not the normal 6 pins on the JP1x |
