I have a urc-6131 remote that I would like to use wiht the comcast DTA (DC50X).
Is there a way to get the functions onto this remote without getting into programming with the JP1 cable?
If not, can you recommend a basic One-for-All remote that is already programmed with this cable box code?

Re: Programing without a JP1 cable
This box uses the XMP protocol. UEI remotes can't learn the protocol so you need to find one with it built in, or add one with an upgrade.RCR31 wrote:I have a urc-6131 remote that I would like to use wiht the comcast DTA (DC50X).

The only remotes that I know of that contain this protocol are
11781178 URC-10820N HCS08
11781178 URC-8820N HCS08
30393039 Comcast 1067BX3 jp1.3
30383038 Cricket S3F80
31793179 RCA RCRP05B S3F80
That RCA RCRP05B is currently on clearance at Walgreens.
Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.
