RCRP05B not learning

Hello everyone

I tried searching there for similar topics - no luck...

Few days ago I followed steps in this manuals to learn my Dreambox 500s remote buttons, and all was OK:

1) [optional] Press a device button (see note)
2) Press and hold SETUP, 2 flashes
3) Type 975, 2 flashes
4) [optional] Press a device button (see note)
5) Press the button to be programmed

At this point the red LED will flash rapidly...

Then I found upgrade there on site and it was much better than what my remote learned. Today I wanted to learn one more device (Selteka DVB-T decoder), but where LED should flash rapidly, it just blinks one long blink. I did "Clearing Custom Programming", deleted added protocol and device in IR and re-uploaded to remote - no changes. Inserted fresh, new batteries - the same. Whats more, it does not learn my Dreambox remote any more too.

Any suggestions?

Since you have an IR file, you can just do a manual 981 reset, and later restore the condition of the remote. I sometimes see the symptoms your remote is showing. I simply perform the 981 reset, and then (without uploading from IR) do the learning. Once you have the signals learned and identified, then you can make an upgrade and upload to the remote.
