As the time passes and I learn more about JP1 and its incredible abilities, I evolve my remte configuration to do more complex chores. I decided to implement the DC protocol and its signal-duration control for my cablebox, as it has [sometimes] somewhat sluggish response to the remote. the box uses the Thomson protocol (4B).
I kept the old device setup code while building my DC upgrade, and it seems all went well... Only I discovered that using my old keymove (pre DC) that assigns the device on/off EFC to the CBL/Shift-L4 key kills the remote. Only an upload from IR revives it. How does one addresses device codes in a keymove after implementing DC? Do I use the Hex codes from the device upgrade? _________________ alexf |

You have a choice. You can either program them to use the individual setup codes (if present) or you can program them to use the device combiner, but to do that you should let KM generate the hex code for you. _________________ Rob
