I really messed this thing up
I'll start from the beginning. I bought a Panasonic ReplayTV remote from ebay, it was preset to ONLY work for the Replay unit. I saw this JP1 section while I was surfing, and noticed my remote has a JP1 connector on it. I thought I could just add on the 3-minute skip button and possibly the volume from my Pioneer surround sound. So I added the code I found in one of the posts, and now the remote only works with my surround sound. I can't turn on the ReplayTV at all since the button is now Pioneer only. I was looking into resetting it for only replay, but I don't have the excel program needed. Can someone help??
Your confusing me in your question. You said you found this site and looked at your remote and found the JP1 connector. You failed to say whether you bought a JP1 cable and used all the appropriate tools to allow this to work. The fact of the matter is you can probably get the replay remote to function to do those thing but why waste your time. For about $20 you can get a JP1 One for All remote with much more potential.

If the Replay remote was preset to just work Replay, what you have there is a "demo" remote. What you need to do is open up the remote and remove the piece of tape that has been put on the PCB under the device buttons, then the remote will be a regular 4-device Replay remote again.

How did you re-program it. Did you first download the remote's state and then make changes to it? Or did you start with the "new" command in IR.exe and just upload the results of that without downloading?
It would be best if you downloaded firt and saved that image in a file that you could start over from.
If you downloaded and changed things without saving first, you still might not have made changes that can't be undone. You might want to post the current eeprom state in the Yahoo JP1 group diagnosis folder.
If you can't run Excel, do you have Sun Java? (you can download that for free). You can use RM (Remotemaster) instead of KM so you won't need Excel.
I'm not sure exactly which ReplayTV upgrade you should be getting. RM can import most upgrades saved by KM.
