Hello, I just got two 6131n's that needed the eeproms and jp1 headers installed; got the first one going and it loads all upgrades with no problems. However on the second one, unless I include a protocol for the device I'm upgrading, the remote will half-blink and then blink twice after pressing a command, i.e power. I did successfully do the 981 code to verify that the eeprom was installed, chip is in correct orientation, and went over all solder points again.

Is there a way to reinstall all the protocols or will I have to install each device's protocol as well as the device upgrade info?

Any help would be most appreciate it!

Try putting fresh batteries in the 2nd remote.

Many thanks Rob, I would have never thought it would be the batteries. Is it that the remote is constantly resetting itself due to low power?

It sounds like the remote's low battery indicator kicking in.

You'd be surprised how often new batteries are the answer to the problem.
