Many thanks. It seems to be an absolute nightmare finding codes for any new freeview box to use with the slingbox. I've tried all (about 30) the inbuilt Grundig codes and have also attempted the Grundig GSTD-3103HD from here with remotemaster. All no joy.

Have you tried any of the other Grundig files in the file section?

Did you try the Grundig DTR 1560 Micro from the DSTB section:
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=4185
Or the BSkyB-Foxtel Digital from the SAT folder:
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=4836
Or the Grundig GSTB3103HD in the Slingbox folder:
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=7386
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=7385
I don't know how consistent Grundig is with their codes, so I don't know how likely it is that any of these will work.

I had tried the others but not the BSkyB one. No joy
It's a fairly new DVB box. I wonder if it is a re badged something else but I have no obvious way of checking
I've just checked the ir blaster on my slingbox is actually working by using it with my dvd player (only officially supported device) and it works just fine.

One of the guys here has a Harmony remote, so sometimes he can look up an unusual device and then capture the signals from the Harmony.
Otherwise, you options are to either (a) get yourself a JP1 learning remote and cable or (b) get an IR Widget, to capture the signals yourself, or you could see if there's a JP1 user that you could mail your OEM remote to so they can capture the signals. I'm guessing that you're in the UK, is that right?

I hadn't though about mailing my remote out to someone with an jp1/widget but that's a good idea - where would the best place to ask be (I am in the UK)?
At the price of getting a JP1+cable or ir widget and having them shipped from the US it is cheaper for me to just get another STB, which seems a shame.

Hi there
I wasn't able to find the GDU1500 but I did find a GDT-1500. Hopefully it uses the same codes. Although it uses an IR Protocol I haven't seen before, the 'Blaupunkt' so I am not confident. Give it a try and let me know how you get on

Cheers

Thanks. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work either (although every time the video stutters as it uploads the code keeps giving me hope!).
The GDT-1500 seems to be a rather old box whereas the GUD1500 looks like it was released last year. I can't find any technical information on it chipset etc) but it did advertise itself as low energy consumptions (1w in standby - the reason I got it!)

I've now gone out and got a Phillips DT220 - although only the 200 is officially listed in Slingbox that controls the remote just fine (I notice there is a 220 RMDU available but as the 200 works fine I've left it alone. It's not quite as sensitive as the Grundig on my internal aerial though as I can't pick up Dave or Sky3 etc which the Grundig could (think i will try a better aerial). Also annoyingly I've just missed an OAD for the 220, who knows how long it will be untill that is repeated.
Thanks to all for their help.
