This seems to a Dish Network product. Before I spend time on this could you test those devices.

ive tried to enter in dish receivers on my sling, but none that i could enter did work. and the problem with the zip code is that i am in canada, so sling must not allow me to enter in a us zip code for this device. and changing it would block out my canadian cable that i have setup. catch22.

OK, but apparently I need to know what Remote address you are using (1-32). I assume it will be shown on one of the menus.

I have absolutely no idea. Never seen or used the box, I just know that Dish Network receivers have selectable remote addresses so you can run multiple boxes in one room. Must be somewhere in your setup routine. Manual ??

i just read the manual and checked the options/boxes and still nothing.

if you have a dishnetworks box (622/722) can you get me a IR code for that and I can see if its the same signals.

Sorry, you don't understand, As I told you, I know absolutely nothing about Dish Network boxes. All I do install the device on my Harmony Universal Remote and use that to 'mimic' your remote and learn the codes. But the software program that produces the remote tells me that for all Dish netwrok boxes I have to input your remote code.
You are going to have to find a Dish Network expert to explain how to find out your remote selection number.

From the Dish Network support site, to identify the "address" to which your Dish box is set:
(1) Access the System Information screen (varies amongst the different models. The three methods are outlined below):
(a) If available, press the SYSTEM INFORMATION button on the front panel of the satellite receiver.
(b) If the SYSTEM INFORMATION button is not present, remove the SmartCard located behind the door of the front panel.
(c) If there is no SmartCard or SYSTEM INFORMATION button, power the receiver off from the front panel and then press the up or down arrow button.
(2) Make note of the number in the remote address field.

thanks but remember this is not a dishnetworks receiver. it is a neosat fta receiver that i have dishnetworks running from through iks. there are neosat 1000 codes flying around but not the 2000. not sure how to get them. none of those steps worked as well.

There is a file for the NEOsat iPro 2000 here:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=4370
According to the notes, it's based on the DishNetwork SAT/0775 code.
If you've already tried S0775 in the Slingbox and got no response, it could mean that;
a) you didn't enter the code correctly, or
b) your iPro 2000 uses a different codeset than the one linked to above, or
c) your device supports unit codes as discussed above and your unit is set to a non-default unit code.

I've used it to produce a remote at
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=7763
The text file assumes a Remote Address of 1 so I guess that is probably the default.
Some of the codes aren't the same as the ones I had, but give it a try and let me know how you get on.
